Good tea, good price, and cool looking pot

SPIDERWORT Widows Bluejacket Tradescantia Ohiensis

SPIDERWORT Widows Bluejacket Tradescantia Ohiensis

I really can't imagine anyone being disappointed with this wonderful product. The teapot is beautiful and well-made. It has a removable tea infuser for using loose leaf teas and making a pot of your favorite. Remove the infuser when using the blooming teas, as to give the flower room to expand. You can use this on the stove top and put it in the dishwasher to remove stains. I am not sure if it is microwave safe, but don't want to try it, as I don't want to destroy this beautiful pot.

Also, the teas that come with this set come in beautiful cans. I have had many flowering teas before, and they have all looked pretty, but many fell short when it came to the actual taste. That is not the case with these teas. Their is a variety of flavors, and I haven't tried one that wasn't delicious yet! Overall, this whole set surpassed my expectations. I would gladly recommend this to any tea drinker. You will not be disappointed! 5+ Stars!

CANADIAN COLUMBINE Aquilegia Canadensis Flower

CANADIAN COLUMBINE Aquilegia Canadensis Flower

Courage and devotion are difficult qualities to SHOW in a realistic character, but the author Sean Storin does an amazing job creating these in Kate Bruno. Storin easily could have become pedantic or repetitive while crafting A Frame For Flowers, however he keeps the story rich with new characters, circumstances, and twists, for the woman battling cancer while caring for her son. Her ultimate choice attests the courage we all should hope to have when faced with life's difficult choices. I thoroughly enjoyed this read from "cover to cover". Each character feels like someone you might know and love (or abhor). Each revelation was entertaining, unexpected and enjoyable to read. Finally, I especially favor the depth of the son, Anthony. Storin's treatment of Anthony's relationship with his mother weaves such a beautiful tapestry to this story that I found myself wishing I had a moment's chance to deal with Frank for them--a good sign of a great read!

I researched epilators for hours before I decided on this one, and I am SO glad that I did! It's smooth, very easy to hold, has two removable and washable heads (long for legs, short for sensitive areas such as armpits and face), can be used with or without the cord, has two speeds, is not super loud (to me it seems to be slightly louder than an electronic toothbrush), and comes with a silky silver bag and very small cleaning brush.

I was nervous about the pain factor because everyone says that it hurts the first time you use it, but as soon as I started using it I was pleasantly surprised that I could hardly feel it! I think the only place on my legs that pinched was right around my ankles, but it's such a tiny and fleeting pinch that I didn't even mind. Seriously, it's not bad at ALL (unless you have the pain tolerance of a flea, I suppose)!
I also used it on my armpits, but I haven't had much luck, to be honest. I even waited three days for the hairs to get longer and the small epilator head still didn't pick them up, for the most part. I ended up tweezing instead (which, by the way, is a HUGE pain in the neck--literally).

In any case, I LOVE the fact that I don't have to shave every day anymore and that my skin is so smooth to the touch! I wholeheartedly recommend buying this epilator! It's a great investment for a fantastic price (with free Super Saver shipping, no less)!

I am not a professional photographer, but I am our family photographer and have been taking pictures for many years. I even studied photography and did some darkroom work in high school and college.

The two camera I've been using, before the HS50EXR, is a digital Canon - Powershot A720 IS with 8.0 mega pixels and a 6x optical zoom and a Canon DSLR - Rebel T3 which I have two lenses for, the standard 18-55mm and a telephoto 55-250mm. I've been using both of them a lot lately as I've been documenting a garden project and taking a lot of wildlife photos. I have to say, the FujiFilm is amazing in comparison and will enable me to do everything I need to do with this one camera, much easier then before.

This is considered a bridge camera - somewhere between a digital and an SLR, but I have to say I like it MUCH better then my Canon Rebel T3 - as a family photographer I've found it daunting to figure out some of the settings on my DSLR and with the FujiFilm, it does it for me. I love the EXR mode and how the camera selects the best setting for your pictures, it's good for those of us who just want to be able to take really nice pictures.

A problem I've had recently with my SLR camera has been needing to constantly switch between my regular and telephoto lenses. This camera has an amazing 1000mm zoom. It takes pictures very quickly and the manual zoom is easy to use and has worked great. I have taken pictures of everything from landscape to close up with just a twist of the lens. You just zoom, half click to focus and get a great picture. The colors are sharper then both of my Canon cameras as well and the auto focus has worked perfectly, and takes just 0.05 seconds - it's fast and clear.

You can also take excellent quality 1080 HD video with full stereo. You can use the camera in manual mode, if you want to do your own settings and there are some great advanced options for filter effects (things like miniature, pop color and soft focus) and 'scene position' option for over a dozen different conditions like, portrait, landscape, sports, night, sunset and more.

I have to say I adore this camera and it looks like my other cameras are going to be gathering dust from now on. I give the FujiFilm FinePix HS50EXR my highest recommended!

AMJ Dresses Inc purple Pageant

AMJ Dresses Inc purple Pageant

I first saw this product in use in Canada and was so excited by it that I just 'had to have one' .. bought one in Canada and then bought 3 more via Amazon while in Florida .. I live in NZ by the way and this product is not available over here. The hose is fantastic for storage (contracts to basically nothing), doesn't tangle and doesn't retain water which means that (a) in summer [which in NZ is now incidentally] I don't get boiling water out of the hose when I turn it on, and, (b) becos there is no water retained in the hose it won't freeze in the winter. It's really marvellous, and, everyone I know who's seen it wants one or three! Recommend that the manufacturer gets it into the NZ market pronto, and, include washers for the tap fitting as I've found that here in NZ the tap connection leaks. Hope this is helpful for all you prospective buyers .. I now own 4 :)

A success on All three fronts: WARNING!!--MINOR SPOILERS!!

The Quest Unaligned A Phillips

The Quest Unaligned A Phillips

Very roughly speaking, there are three areas in which a book is judged: the world, the characters, and the plot. The Quest Of The Unaligned delivers solidly on all three fronts.

I. The World.
Quest Of The Unaligned features several interesting and intriguing worldbuildings. We start with the bizzare juxtaposition of the ultra-modern (and magicless) city-state of Tonzimmiel with the surrounding mythopoeic Kingdom Of Caederan. Each of the two societies is well developed over the course of the story and shown to have interlocking strengths and weaknesses, such that what one does wrong, the other often does right. Similarly, the magic of Caederan initially appears as the dull and lifeless seed of the classical four-element magic, but with the fleshing out of the secondary powers, and even more so with the royal unaligned house and the mysterious super-elemental mages known as orahs and hosheks, this magic produces beautiful and lively flowers.

II. The Characters
The characters of Quest Of The Unaligned are a varied bunch. The three main characters are Alaric, an initially reluctant hero who comes to accept his duty as Crown Prince of Caederan; Laeshana, a beautiful and extremely intelligent aesh seeking to transcend the limits imposed on her by birth, and Nahruahn, a hyperactive hero-worhsipper who eventually develops into a hero himself. Over the course of their quest, they encounter a mixed bag of secondary characters, ranging from the wise but manipulative Deshamai, to the proud and flighty Ruahkini, to the utterly vile Gaithim.

III. The Plot

The plot of Quest Of The Unaligned ends up being about three parts mystery, three parts heroic journey of discovery, and one part each of politics, romance, and comedy. (And about half a part badgers). It begins when a man appears out of thin air in a bar, accosts a ninth-level certified security chief in the Tonzimmelian First Security Force, calls him "Prince Alaric", and cons him into going on the titular Quest Of The Unaligned. Joined by Laeshana, a friend of his who was born in Caederan and understands its ways, Alaric must set out on an adventure that will reshape his life.

Precocious Little Girl Becomes An Empowered Women

Flowers in the Blood ebook

Flowers in the Blood ebook

I read this years ago and couldn't put it down then. I loaned the book to someone and never got it back. Several years later, I moved to another city I started thinking about the book and wondering if I could find it in a resale book store. One had just opened on the square in my town and so I went in to see what they had. When I started browsing the shelves, which I love to do, there, on a shelf at my eye level, was Flowers in the Blood, facing me....not the spine showing, but the front of the book. It was one of only a few books on that shelf because they weren't finished stocking the store yet. It was amazing....like it was waiting for me to come in. My book club is reading the book now and so I loaned this used book to a friend in the club, but downloaded it on my kindle. I had to know that it was in my possession in some form. It is about generations of a family in India. Every character is fully developed and I fell in love with them. Very much worth reading. It's a long book, but once you start it, you won't put it down.

Magic Farm Kindle Tablet Edition

Magic Farm Kindle Tablet Edition

I have read many good books this year and had my top ten short list ready. Then, I picked up "The Language of Flowers" by debut novelist Vanessa Diffenbaugh. BAM! I could not stop reading this book. It's not a gooey love story with Victorian flora in an epistolary form.

It is an action-packed, heart-breaking journey with an 18 year-old, recently emancipated foster child. She has a wall around her heart, "like a nut." She fears intimate relationships, for all her life these have meant only moving on, moving away, and giving up those she cherished.

She is homeless. She is jobless. But she has been taught the language of flowers by one of her caretakers, Elizabeth. How Victoria takes her love of flowers and her connection with growing things to make her life something new is the journey of this book. She has help along the way from people at the flower market, Renata and her family, Grant, a young man who also questions his past.

Like moss, which thrives with no roots, Victoria finds that she can start anew in a different direction for her life than she would ever have predicted.

Diffenbaugh sets the story in San Francisco and the agricultural country to the north of the city. The cityscape and vineyards provide contrasting pieces of Annie's life experiences.

This is a beautiful book. It takes the readers to new places and teaches them new things, things probably not considered before. To me, that makes for a top-notch reading experience. More, more, more please from Vanessa Diffenbaugh.

Excellent plot and execution

Silken Prey John Sandford

Silken Prey John Sandford

I love this series and I particularly love the main character because he is smart, sexy, a family guy, a cop who drives a Porsche, and ultimately the coolest guy in law enforcement by a mile. Davenport does what he does because he likes it and he has a clearly defined code and sense of right and wrong-he also sees the shades of gray. The writing as always, flows smoothly, the descriptions of the people and places are vivid, and the author manages to make lifelike even the politicians that inhabit this book. Through this long running series we have come to know the characters (and they are that), that inhabit Davenport's world and it's like visiting with old friends when they take part in solving the political mystery/intrigue/thriller/suspense that takes place in a compressed period of time before election day. Davenport's friends are a motley crew of misfits but they get the job done every time. This book is recommended to all who like a smart mystery that is complex at times has many twists and turns and is hard to put down. I know that the author has said that Davenport will retire at some point, but he gives the reader so much enjoyment and downright fun I hope he goes on forever.
